CONNECTION PROBLEMS
NOTE: Hypercom performed effectively when connected to the FAX line in Dr. Derasari's reception area. It would not work in Dr. Kirkpatrick's area or when connected to Dr. Derasari's cable (broadband) connection.
Fax modem is the same technology as the Terminal modem for Hypercom.
VOIP phone connection – not dependable

If static VOIP connection, you need to know:

If you overcharge customer:
Void transaction, press “N”
Give void receipt to customer.
IMPORTANT NOTES
NOTE: Void (press "N") must occur BEFORE settlement at end of
the day; otherwise a refund takes 10 business
days.
Refund == “T” button
NOTE: Some credit cards will prompt the terminal to ask for
a 3-digit security # (which must be entered on the
keypad).
NOTE: Processing rates go up if you don’t settle each
day. The money is held for only 30 days.
NOTE: If a magnetic defect on a credit card, you must
enter manually.

Credit Card # of Patient (16 digit number)
Expiration date (example 0208)
How to enter amount of transaction – (example: $100.00 would be 10000-no decimals),
The system will repeat the amount, if incorrect, hit clear and re-enter amount
Another prompt will be given to get the authorization number
